Google kills unreleased AI app

Google is rather notorious for killing apps and services left and right, even quite successful ones. This time, however, the company has gone further than it usually does and killed an app that was never released to begin with. It was called Google AI Studio and it was supposed to become available on both Android and iOS. The app was listed in the Google Play Store and the App Store as a pre-order, and about 800,000 people actually pre-ordered it, so clearly there was some interest for it out there. Still, Google's AI Studio team decided to "take an entirely different approach",...

The budget Redmi 17 4G is yet to be officially announced, and we haven't even seen it in China. Well, it seems we are not far from the said release, judging by the Redmi 17 store listing that just popped up in Poland. Xiaomi Redmi 17 4G in Blue Seemingly, all the rumored specs were true, but more importantly, the European version arrives with a 7,500 mAh battery. We weren't sure until now because European versions often arrive with smaller batteries. The rumors weren't right about the price, though. The handset is actually cheaper than anticipated. The two listings at the...

That report has turned out to be correct, as iQOO India's CEO Nipun Marya has teased the launch of the Z11. In a post on X, Marya said, "DO NOT READ THE FIRST LETTER OF EVERY LINE," and wrote seven lines after that, whose first letters were Z, E, L, E, V, E, and N. Well, that's Z11. DO NOT READ THE FIRST LETTER OF EVERY LINE. Zero spoilers from me. Everything is nearly ready. Launch mode is officially on. Eleven may be relevant. Very relevant. Excited...

Apple won't be able to meet demand in Q3

During his last call with investors before stepping down, Apple CEO Tim Cook laid out that the upcoming September quarter (Q3) will have huge customer demand that the supply chain won't be able to meet. Cook stressed that it isn't a case of RAM constraints or lack of parts, but that, put simply, customer demand for iPhones, iPads, and Macs is too great, and supply partners can't keep up. He said, "this isn't a partner or supplier issue. The issue is an incredibly strong demand." That means that the supply chain is capable of completing Apple orders at the usual scale, but that the...

Google will let your Pixel phone unlock your Pixel Watch

Google already lets you unlock your phone using a Pixel Watch through the Watch Unlock feature, but now it seems like the company is working on letting you do it the other way around as well. Strings of code found in the latest Connected Phone & Watch app show a "Phone to Watch Unlock" feature. When it launches, this will automatically unlock your Pixel Watch when your paired Pixel phone is unlocked. Unfortunately, this is very likely exclusive to a Pixel phone and Pixel watch pairing. Anyway, once you get it, you will be able to skip entering a PIN or pattern and simply unlock your...
